Jennifer Salinas, MD, at Elite Care Harmony In Spring
Michigan State University
EDUCATION AND CAREER HISTORY
Dr. Salinas grew up in Michigan and attended Michigan State University for both undergrad and medical school.
She took a year off from medical school to perform grant-funded research on parasites in Peru with John’s Hopkins and the CDC. She graduated medical school one year after her return and married her Peruvian husband. Dr. Salinas then went on to participate in the emergency residency program at Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit from 2006 to 2009. During this time, her husband accepted a buy-out from Chrysler and, upon finishing her residency, they left recession-ravaged Michigan and moved to Houston.
Dr. Salinas has been working with the Greater Houston Emergency Physicians ever since.
Her first two years were spent at Bayshore and East Houston medical centers, and she’s also spent time with Kingwood Medical Center, Conroe Medical Center, and The Woodlands Emergency Center, as well as recently at hospitals in Navasota, Madisonville, and Baytown.
In her free time, Dr. Salinas enjoys tennis and anything around the water, as well as spending time with her two young sons, Alex and Tyler.
