Greater Houston Emergency Physicians Staff EliteCare
The physician staffing for the EliteCare Emergency Center in Rice Village is provided by Greater Houston Emergency Physicians, PLLC ("GHEP"). GHEP staffs Houston emergency rooms for 9 hospitals and 3 other freestanding emergency care centers in the Greater Houston area. GHEP employs over 80 emergency physicians on a regular basis in Houston. For purposes of staffing the EliteCare 24 Hour Emergency Center in Rice Village, GHEP utilizes only emergency physicians that have 5,000 hours of emergency room experience and/or are Board Certified or Board prepared in Emergency Medicine, as determined by the American Board of Emergency Medicine or the American Board of Osteopathic Emergency Medicine. Unfortunately, this level of training and expertise is often not required by other freestanding emergency centers or even some Houston area hospitals.
GHEP, through its various subsidiaries, also provides other types of physician staffing and physician specialists for hospitals, including hospital physicians. GHEP has been staffing hospital emergency departments since 1998. GHEP physicians handle over 300,000 emergency room patient visits a year. GHEP is nationally recognized for its excellence in emergency care. GHEP physicians are required to maintain their training and expertise with continuing medical education related specifically to emergency medicine.
The EliteCare Emergency Center at Rice Village provides these hospital-trained emergency physicians with a comfortable, convenient and friendly environment in which to provide hospital quality emergency services. It should go without saying that we provide all of the medical equipment and services typically found in a hospital emergency department. We also demand the highest caliber of patient care and professional excellence from our staff members; including our Registered Nurses, medical technicians and other medical personnel. However, our emphasis is on comfort, convenience, personalized care and a level of patient service not possible in hospital based emergency rooms.
